Carly Saltsman
MSW Student
Hi, I’m Carly! I strive to create a space where you can feel understood, supported, and empowered working towards your goals. I have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent girls and women, recognizing that our neurodivergent traits and experiences are often overlooked.
My commitment to neurodiversity-affirming and 2SLGBTQ+ affirming care is informed by both my lived experience of these identities and professional training. In addition to counselling, I also offer executive functioning coaching, helping clients develop practical strategies for organization, planning, time management, and everyday life demands.
I also enjoy working directly with parents of neurodivergent children including adult children, many of whom may be neurodivergent themselves. I support parents to better understanding their child's unique needs while building strategies that create meaningful change within the family.

Therapeutic Approach
As a neurodivergent practitioner myself, I take a strengths-based, person-centred, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. I integrate evidence-based practices while remaining responsive to each client's individual needs and preferences. My work may incorporate:
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-informed skills
Strengths-based and solution-focused approaches
Executive functioning support and coaching
Parent coaching/caregiver support
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)-informed strategies adapted to be neurodiversity-affirming
Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed counselling
I emphasize self-compassion over blame and adapt my approach as clients’ needs and preferences evolve, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and coaching.
Building Lego sets brings me joy.
Neurodivergent youth and young adults
2SLGBTQ+ individuals
Executive functioning challenges
Parents seeking support in understanding and supporting their child of any age
Individuals seeking accessible lower-cost therapy
I will be offering a support group in Fall 2026!
